Personal Physicians of Sugar Land brought concierge medicine to Fort Bend County in January 2006, breaking away from the traditional model that is driven by insurance reimbursement and bound to a high patient volume. Kirk R. Lee, M.D. and Frank S. Mazza, M.D., experienced Family Medicine practitioners, were able to reduce their patient load and provide more personalized care to a smaller group of patients by charging a reasonable annual fee. (See Services) This model is sometimes referred to as retainer based medicine or boutique medicine but the term concierge best describes the services the patients of this practice receive.

Not anymore! By limiting the practice to only several hundred patients per physician, you can typically get same-day appointments, or at most within 24 hours, and you won't have to wait a long time in an overcrowded waiting room. In addition your appointment can be as long as you need -- not just 10 minutes and "I have to run."

During office hours, Dr. Lee and Dr. Mazza are available via email or fax and after office hours they are available by their personal cell phones. If the need arises, they even make house calls.

Thorough annual wellness exams are a priority and each patient is encouraged to email or call the physician with ANY health or wellness questions or concerns. When you do call, there are no endless layers of answering machines to navigate; only real people with a real concern for your health and well being.
